Credit agencies are no different than any commercial enterprise that must deal with hundred's of thousands if not millions pieces of information - they use computers to maintain their files on individuals. Computer's do not have the ability to comprehend and make rational and/or judgmental decisions, at least not yet! What does that mean to you? When a credit report was submitted to a credit agency by one of your creditors it wasn't read by anyone, it was electronically digitized and loaded into their computers, in many cases the creditors may have submitted the credit report electronically and it went directly into the credit agencies data base - errors and all!

So if you believe that the credit agency, had an intelligent individual read all the credit reports that it received about you, and then after deliberating for hours determined whether they were correct and questioned your creditors about missing information or other items that weren't rational, I have a bridge in Brooklyn that I would love to sell to you and I don't care what your credit score is!

Of course any errors or other misinformation all affects your credit score - right or wrong.

To sum up: Credit agencies do not give you or your file any personal attention, it would cost far to much in labor to review and vet each individual file and/or report. Although your creditors would like you to believe that they spent hours if not days reviewing your background to create your credit score - they didn't. It was all done and processed by computer.
