Credit Repair - Part 6

Translate This Page

Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5

Using A Third Party To Work On Your Behalf Is Illegal!

In other words, if you contract with a firm or individual who knows the laws and what they are doing, somehow you have broken the law!

This of course, couldn't be farther from the truth. The US justice system works on the principal of providing advocates, who are experts in their field to work with an individual or corporation to obtain justice. How could a system, that is predicated on this simple principle of equality turn around and say that you cannot use an advocate in credit repair?

Some credit reporting agencies and creditors will, on occasion, imply that the use of an advocate, a third party somehow contravenes a law. These credit reporting agencies and creditors will never come right out and state that you have broken the law, they will imply it on the telephone or by sending a letter to the individual who has contracted with a third party.

What do they hope to gain by implying that you have somehow broken a law? They want you to back off your attempt to repair your credit report and when they imply it, many individuals will be intimidated and back off! They are hoping that you are like most people and want to avoid being on the wrong side of the law and challenging their non-existent power to control your life. If you are using a third party forward any letters that you may receive to your advocate. If you are undertaking your own credit repair exercise than you shouldn't respond, in any manner, specifically you shouldn't stop the credit repair exercise, to any attempt that they might use to provoke you into thinking that you are on the wrong side of a law.

To sum up: There are no laws that prevent you from contracting with a third party to help you with cleaning up your credit report and hence, increasing your credit score. Credit agencies and creditors will use any techniques available to them, including but not limited to out right deception, to get you to back off your credit repair exercise. As stated earlier in order to undertake a credit repair you must have some legal knowledge, patience and a stiff backbone.

Credit scores define our overall lifestyle, the home we can purchase, our vehicles, whether we can obtain insurance and in many cases our suitability for employment with many companies. In many cases the credit scores are the result of misinformation that exists on our credit reports that are lodged in some obscure computer data bank.

Don't let a group of myths prevent you from taking action to clean-up your credit report. It's your life, you deserve to live it without credit constraints applied by misinformation.
